The Sindh government has set up an inquiry committee into the arrest of Capt (retd) Safdar. According to details, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has set up an inquiry committee to probe the incident that took place on the night between October 18 and 19. The inquiry committee set up by the Sindh government will consist of five ministers.

Provincial Minister Saeed Ghani will be the convener of the committee, which includes Barrister Murtaza Wahab, Provincial Ministers Nasir Shah, Sardar Ali Shah, and Owais Qadir Shah. According to media sources, the inquiry committee will submit its report within 30 days. Sindh Home Department has issued notification of the inquiry committee. According to the notification, the committee will consist of provincial ministers and they will have to submit an investigation report to the Sindh chief minister within 30 days.

The inquiry c

the committee will be headed by Saeed Ghani. It may be recalled that Captain (retd) Safdar, son-in-law of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, was arrested by Sindh police in a case of desecration of Mazar-e-Quaid and was released on bail by a local court. PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz had claimed that the plaintiff in the case against Captain (retd) Safdar was himself a fugitive from the terrorism court.

Maryam Nawaz said that the plaintiff of FIR Waqas Ahmad Khan is a fugitive from the terrorism court and a case has been registered against the plaintiff in Superhighway police station. Why are all these plaintiffs like this? Captain Safdar was receiving high-level threats that we would not let you go. What if one thinks that threats will intimidate Nawaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz, and PDM? If you have the courage, come and arrest me. Murad Ali Shah has told me the whole story and I know what happened here. I remember Musharraf's time when he made a series of mistakes, his situation is going to be like Musharraf's. It may be recalled that the police have confirmed the allegation of Maryam Nawaz.
